We visited London in 2009. The first days were spend in the city of London. Visiting the famous sights like Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and London Eye. At the last day we wanted to visit something near London and took the metro to Kew. Kew is the place where the Royal Botanic Gardens are located. These Royal Botanic Gardens have the world’s largest collection of living plants, kept in gardens, but also in botanical glasshouses. Kew Gardens was created in 1759 and is on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. If you have enough time in London then I can recommend a visit to Kew Gardens. It’s large enough to spend at least a couple of hours, but perhaps even half a day.
