In the early morning we drove to the harbor of Gothenburg. There we went on the Stena Line ferry to Fredrikshavn in Denmark. This trip took only three hours. Weather was great, so we could enjoy our time outside at deck. We enjoyed the wonderful view over the small islands in front of the coast of Sweden. And we also made plans for Denmark. Due to the bad weather at North Cape we skipped the Lofoten and because of that we had one day extra in Denmark. We drove already 6200km, so we decided that we had time to relax in Denmark and Germany.
We decided to drive along the north coast of Denmark and stopped at Thisted. There we stayed a day to go fishing. The day after we went to Billund where we visited Legoland. Who doesn’t know Lego? Legoland is a nice amusement park for young and old people and it’s one of the most famous attractions in Denmark. I could remember things from an earlier visit in 1993, but of course many things were changed too.
The last days of the North Cape tour were spend in Germany at Lüneburger Heide. There we stayed two nights at camping Südsee where we enjoyed the beach.
