Hope Children’s Home Orphanage

Posted by on January 21, 2014

Bali is well-known for his paddy fields, temples and Balinese crafts & arts. Most tourists go to Bali to see this and furthermore they enjoy the food and their holiday in a resort. So it’s not the first thing you think about when you go on holiday, but visiting an orphanage was interesting. I never visited an orphanage before, but we were on our way from Kuta to Mengwi and near the Hope Children’s Home Orphanage. So we visited this for an hour.

Hope Children’s Home was established in 1974 and provides a home for more than 100 children. The children also get education with the opportunity for University study. The owners and orphans like it when tourists visit their orphanage. They are welcoming and also rely on the kindness of tourists.

During our visit to the Bali Hope Children’s Home Orphanage we met several children. My girlfriend danced with the ladies and I played soccer with the guys. A visit to an orphanage makes you aware about the children who have a tough life. But it’s good to see that they have a home now and get education.
