In Dubai we stayed in Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa. This because of the good reviews that we red and the central location in Dubai city centre. Dubai Creek and the old city with attractions like Heritage Village and Dubai Museum are nearby. Furthermore Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa offers a free shuttle bus to Jumeirah Beach Park.
The exterior of Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa doesn’t look very attractive in my opinion, but inside it looks luxurious. Marble floors, paintings and elegantly furnished. The rooms are spacious and decorated in Arabian style. Our room overlooked DubaiMuseum which was nice. A little disadvantage is that you wake up around 6am because of the mosques in the nearby environment.
In Dubai you can’t buy alcoholic drinks in supermarket, so for us it was perfect to have the English pub Sherlock Holmes in the hotel. After a long day of sightseeing we came here for a cold beer and to watch some sports or live entertainment. Staff also was very friendly and they always liked to have a chat. For dinner there is a choice of four restaurants. We had delicious Peking duck at the roof terrace of Silk Route Chinese & Thai Restaurant. Truly the best I ever ate. Furthermore we sometimes ate at Sherlock Holmes and Bastakiya Restaurant.
I have to be honest that the pool was a bit disappointing. After sightseeing we usually took a dip in the pool, but late afternoon it is in the shadow and a bit chill. But good is that we could use the showers and facilities of Zaitoon Spa on the last day before we flew back.
Looking back to our stay in Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa I can only conclude that it was great. Truly one of the best city hotels I have ever been.
