MacRitchie Reservoir, Singapore

Posted by on December 1, 2013

Singapore is a small country, but despite that they still have rain forest. Singapore rain forest is located in the middle of the country and is divided in Bukit Timah Nature Reserve and MacRitchie Reservoir. I chose to visit MacRitchie Reservoir, simply because it is nearby the city of Singapore.

Unfortunately my time was very limited because I had to be in time on Changi Airport, but I had some time for a short walk in this wonderful forest. Actually I wished to walk the Nature Trail with TreeTop Walk, but that was too far away. So we only walked along the water near the pavilion and did the Petai Trail. Despite that this only was a short walk we encountered several animals like salamanders, squirrels and monkeys. Be cautious for the monkeys and put everything in your bag, because they tried to get food from us and were hostile!
